Effective date: January 1, 2026
By visiting our website at highlandinsulation.com, requesting an estimate, or engaging Highland Insulation for insulation services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services. We may update these terms from time to time, and your continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Highland Insulation provides residential and commercial insulation services in Highland, CA and surrounding communities. Services include but are not limited to spray foam insulation, attic insulation, blown-in insulation, crawl space insulation, wall insulation, air sealing, vapor barrier installation, and related work. All services are subject to a written estimate or proposal agreed upon before work begins. We reserve the right to decline any job at our discretion.
Written estimates are provided at no charge following an on-site assessment. Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated. An estimate is not a binding contract until both parties sign a written work order or agreement.
Prices may change if conditions at the job site differ materially from what was observed during the assessment - for example, if additional damaged insulation is discovered once work begins, or if access to a space is more restricted than anticipated. We will notify you of any significant change in scope before proceeding with additional work.
Work dates are scheduled by mutual agreement. We ask that you provide at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may result in a rescheduling fee to cover crew scheduling and equipment preparation costs.
We will make every reasonable effort to arrive on time. If circumstances beyond our control - such as severe weather or a prior job running long - require us to adjust your appointment time, we will contact you as soon as possible to make alternative arrangements.
Payment terms are specified in the written work order or estimate. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due in full upon completion of the work. For larger projects, we may require a deposit before scheduling the job.
We accept payment by check, cash, and major credit cards. Returned checks may be subject to a returned check fee. Invoices not paid within 30 days of the due date may be subject to a late fee. Accounts more than 60 days past due may be referred to collections, and the customer will be responsible for all associated collection costs and reasonable attorney fees.
Highland Insulation reserves the right to place a mechanics lien on the property for unpaid services as permitted under California law.
To allow us to complete work efficiently and safely, you agree to:
Some insulation work in California requires a building permit. Where a permit is required, we will inform you as part of the estimate process. Permit fees are the responsibility of the customer and will be included in the project estimate. Work subject to a permit will not be closed out until the required inspection has been completed and approved.
Highland Insulation warrants that all insulation work will be performed in a professional and workmanlike manner and will conform to the specifications in the written work order. If a defect in our workmanship is identified within one year of project completion, we will return to inspect the issue and, if the defect is confirmed to be the result of our work, we will correct it at no charge.
This warranty covers workmanship only. It does not cover damage caused by:
Manufacturer warranties on materials are separate from our workmanship warranty and are subject to each manufacturer's terms.
Except for the workmanship warranty described in Section 8, Highland Insulation makes no other warranties, express or implied, regarding its services or materials, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee specific energy savings or reductions in utility bills, as actual results depend on many factors outside our control, including but not limited to home construction, HVAC equipment, usage habits, and weather conditions.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the total liability of Highland Insulation for any claim arising out of or related to our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the specific project giving rise to the claim. In no event shall Highland Insulation be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or loss of use, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
If a dispute arises between you and Highland Insulation relating to our services or these terms, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us directly at projects@highlandinsulation.com. We will make a good-faith effort to reach a resolution within 15 business days.
If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may pursue the matter in the appropriate court of competent jurisdiction in San Bernardino County, California. Nothing in these terms prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in court where appropriate.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action arising under these terms shall be brought in the courts of San Bernardino County, California.
